Can you compete with the “nationals” and supermarket chains on price?
We are a member of Euronics, the largest independent buying group in Europe, so we have access to thousands of top brand appliances, at competitive prices.
At Princes we strongly believe that our overall package, incorporating in-store demonstrations, a flexible delivery service, quality installations and after-sales assurance, provides excellent value for money when compared on like-for-like grounds with national companies and supermarkets (and we’re grateful for the customer feedback we receive which tells us the same!).
So, if you are comparing products and prices we would also encourage you to compare the service and support you’ll receive from Princes which is over and above other companies out there; we’re a long established family-run business and we genuinely care about you, our customers.
How do you compete for choice?

Do you carry out your own delivery and installation?
Yes, without exception; we do not sub-contract any of our services. We believe that this is reflected in the quality of the installations carried out, as all of our employees are trained in customer care, and take a personal pride in their work.
Do you charge for delivery?
No, local delivery within a radius of our Wem or Prees stores (in North Shropshire) is free of charge. However, we reserve the right to charge for delivery further afield, given the extra time and fuel costs incurred. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with your postcode and we’ll be happy to confirm whether a charge will apply.
Do you charge for delivery if I wish to nominate a particular day or time?
No, in direct contrast to many others we’ll always try to offer a flexible service. In order to manage diaries we do, of course, try to schedule work in a sensible way, e.g. Wem & Shrewsbury in the morning, Whitchurch and Market Drayton in the afternoon, but there are no hard and fast rules. Please contact us to let us know if you have a delivery preference and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
Do you install products bought from other suppliers?
Yes, and we won’t hold it against you! We recognise that some of our competitors do not offer installation services, or do not have sufficient expertise, particularly when faced with internet connectivity and related matters.
We will be pleased to provide you with a competitive quotation, and feel confident that you will find our services to represent excellent value for money. Who knows, you may well be tempted to buy from us in future!
Can you install integrated kitchen appliances?
Yes, we offer a comprehensive service, including an initial visit to your home to measure up, and to establish how the product needs to be fitted, e.g. which way round the doors need to be (we’ve learned from experience!).

I’d like my TV to be wall-mounted – do you do this?
Yes, and we’re very good at it! Our lads have years of experience of wall-mounting televisions in houses, offices, Clubs & Pubs. We can supply and fit brackets to fit TVs of all sizes, and can arrange for the installation to be flat to the wall, tilted or on a swivel, depending on where you want your TV to be sited, or where you want to watch it from, etc. See some of our engineers work here. I understand that you can repair TVs. My set is playing up, and it’s the only one I’ve got. What happens if you need to take it away?
We will, of course, attend to the set in your home, if at all possible. However, you’re right to assume that we may need to bring it in for repair, and this is often the case. If so, we will provide you with a loan set, on a free of charge basis, whilst your TV is being looked at.
You claim to have an excellent reputation for after-sales care. Can you give me a specific example of what you mean by this?
We could provide you with many examples, but it’s our willingness to take up issues with manufacturers, on behalf of our customers, which perhaps sets us apart. Our customers know who we are and, just as important, where we are!
As such, if problems do occur, customers can approach us with confidence. Our staff have built-up excellent relationships with manufacturers’ sales representatives over the years, and make sure, if problems do arise, that they are dealt with efficiently, and that our customer is faced with the minimum of hassle.
